FROM TECHNOLOGY TO GRASS ROOTS THROUGH “MISYN CARES”

The joy on the face of little children at play is a sight worth millions. “MISYN CARES” the CSR arm of M I Synergy (Pvt) Limited was able to bring this joy to the children of Kalahagala Primary School – Pollonnaruwa recently. The company donated a fully equipped children’s play area to the school which is situated close to the Angammeddilla Nature Park. In addition to the play area the company also donated books to the children’s library as well as funds to cover the student welfare project for the year 2019.

To mark this occasion an indigenous “Karanda” sapling was planted by the students and Tesman Maloney (CEO – M I Synergy Pvt Limited) in the school premises. This initiative was yet another step in the “MISYN CARES” journey of giving back to the society and uplifting children’s education in Sri Lanka. We wish to thank all our valued customers for being with us in this journey.

“MISYN Cares” the CSR initiative by M I Synergy (Pvt) Ltd recently created a memorable experience for a group of primary school students hailing from the backwaters of Polonnaruwa who visited Colombo for the first time in their lives. The MISYN team organized and sponsored this educational tour for the students of Kalahagala Primary School in Polonnaruwa, who were accompanied by some parents and teachers.

As Tesman Maloney, CEO of M I Synergy (Pvt) Ltd explained;

“The MISYN team continually strives to assist in the development of young minds especially in the primary education spectrum. We want to make a positive impact on the lives and experiences of the children and to contribute towards a happy community of students. I am proud of my team, who despite their busy schedule, stepped up voluntarily to take care of the group throughout the two day period they were in Colombo ”

“MISYN Cares” is engaged in numerous CSR activities and as part of the longest running Project, M I Synergy (Pvt) Ltd sponsored the Kalahagala Primary School for a comprehensive educational tour in Colombo which included the Independence Square, National Museum, planetarium, Colombo Harbour, Colombo Lighthouse, Gangaramaya Temple and Diyatha Uyana. It was a pleasure to see the children enjoying their outing in a free and relaxed atmosphere.

EDUCATING NEXT GENERATION

Our CEO Tesman Maloney was the key note speaker at The Industrial Expectation from Fresh ICT graduates seminar held in University of Vocational Technology, Ratmalana on 29th August. It dealt with challenges and answers to recognition issues as appearing in the towards the ICT industry in Sri Lanka. The seminar attracted a very enthusiastic audience. About 130 participants joined the seminar.

SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR DESERVING STUDENTS

Since 2015 MISYN 'CARES' has been sponsoring two deserving students from Bandarwela with a monthly allowance to meet their educational expenses. This sponsorship will continue until the students complete their school career after A/L.

Between 2012 - 2014 two A/L deserving students from Naula in the Matale District were provided with a monthly allowance to meet their educational needs until they completed their A/L studies.

FLOOD RELIEF WORK

Coming forward in the hour of need of our fellow Sri Lankan citizens MISYN “Cares” along with the staff of the company and well-wishers rallied to gather sanitation material and dry rations to be distributed to flood victims of the recent floods in the Kalutara District. The relief goods were distributed directly to the flood affected people in Bulathsinhala in the form of dry rations and Nagoda area for post flood cleanup as well as dry rations and sanitary items for children and women.
